Join your HWP colleagues for a week of writing, learning, and conversation. If you’ve been to an AI before, you know how good it is. If you haven’t, find out what you’ve been missing! Open to HWP teacher-consultants (those who have participated in an HWP Summer Institute or an NWP Summer Institute at another site). No charge unless you want graduate credit. If you do want credit, contact Steve Fox ASAP.

The AI North (Advanced Institute–available for everyone who has already completed the summer/ open institute–regardless of where or when you completed it) will be June 12-16th at Bethel College 9am-3pm–more details to follow. Come for an hour, a day, or (even better) the whole week! We’ll be writing, writing, and even more writing–with some snacking, chatting, and sharing in between. Even with a busy summer schedule ahead, taking the time for you and your writing is one of the best ways to treat yourself well this summer. Can’t wait to see you there!

Feel free to RSVP to Kelli at kellistair2013@gmail.com or just show up when you can!  Kelli Stair

The AI Indianapolis will be June 26-30 at IUPUI, 9am-3pm. This year, the week will be situated around re-reading “Seven Conditions for Effective Writing” by Donald Graves. What do these conditions currently look like in our classrooms? What could they look like?

Of course, you may come for part or all. We do plan to be off-site a couple of days for writing time, though. Please email me  (cgaffney76@gmail.com) if you’re interested.   Carrie Gaffney
